A journal of new information received at CTC

Although not strictly touring…

1) The Semaine Federale is an event that appeals to many – usually around 10 – 12,000, mainly French cyclists, anDog in Trailer at the Semaine Federalenually. You’ll normally find about 400 Brits attending this week-long series of rides which explore a different area of France every August. Well organised, very reasonably priced and extremely sociable, if these characteristics appeal, then find out more by downloading information sheet FRINF9 from here http://www.ctc-maps.org.uk/routes/route/1337/summary

2) Your blogger is off on his annual excursion to the French Riviera, courtesy of the Aedas Cycle2Cannes charity bike ride, until 14th March. If you fancy riding 1500kms in five and a half days on closed roads whilst being extraordinarily well looked after by a superb support team (which includes moi) then you might like to consider signing up for it next year. You do, however, need to be in the property / land / architectural world to take part, but it’s always worth trying even if you’re not.
